Editing can be the art of using a select amount of content to create an idea in the audiences mind.
Carson Jones grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee: Home of the Volunteers. He attended Middle Tennessee State Univ. working as a Video Editor for the MTSU Film Guild and Tape / Replay Operator for EMC Productions. During his stay, he created and edited over 30 videos, increasing his knowledge in key areas of both production and post production in live and narrative environments. Several of his student films were honored at MTSU's "First Look" video premieres at the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN. He then Graduated with a B.A. of Science in Film / Video Production and Computer Science.
In the beginning of 2018 Carson was awarded a mid-south Emmy in the Editor/Program category for his work on "The Right Note", a short film, as well as a nomination in the same category for the short, "The Three Masters".
Now living in Los Angeles, California, Carson works as a Freelance Creative: Editor, Post - Production Coordinator, Producer, and Videographer. Being passionate about music, he's worked in-depth for Yamaha, Universal Music Group, U2, Shania Twain, Nathan East, Butch Walker, and more.
